HEART ATTACK UPDATE
by Fr. Frank Cordaro
I continue on my road to recovery. No major setbacks so far. I’m taking my meds and have lost about 15 pounds. I finished “Phase Two,” the physical rehab program at Mercy Hospital, and have started swimming again at the YMCA. I’ve been back at the DMCW for a couple of months now. And I completed my temporary parish assignment December 31 at St John’s in Cumming IA. In short, all is going well for me.
I’m still in my recovery phase. The doctors say it takes a full four months before they’ll know if the four stints they placed in my heart are working and can give me a clean bill of health. My final wrap-up doctor’s appointment is set for January 15.
I want to thank everyone for their support and prayers. My heart attack was a real scare and wake-up call. I am grateful for the second chance on life that’s been given me and hope to make the best of it.
