Preston UK: Annika Spalde, Anne Britt Sternfeldt and Stellan Vinthagen, of Bread Not Bombs Ploughshares, will be retried October 11. The three were released in May after a Preston jury failed to reach a verdict following 8 days of trial. They are charged with "conspiracy to cause criminal damage" to Trident submarine USS Vengeance in September 1998.
A Celebration of Hope will take place on Oct 10 and continue each morning of trial with a vigil outside the court. The defendants and expert witnesses will be putting Trident on Trial in the evening after the first day in court.
