Two tried in Duluth

Duluth MN: 12 October-

Jerry Berrigan and John Heid, both of Loaves and Fishes Catholic Worker, were tried without jury for locking the federal building and splashing red paint on it last Good Friday. Charged with "locking a door" and "obstructing the work of an officer," they pleaded guilty to the first and offered Judge Maher their best witness on the second. They were sentenced to a fine of $100, which Jerry will work off as community service at Loaves and Fishes.
