Dear Friends of the Omaha Catholic Worker:

Peace to you in this warm summer season.
WE are doing well at the OCW, with half of the garden planted. WE got started late this year. That is okay. This news report will be short. There are many projects going on and many visitors as well. Presently we have 4 guests, that are working hard at their personal goals.

SHORT List of HOUSE Needs:
1. Donation/ for Cost of a dumpster left here for 1 week. We are cleaning out the basement July 25-29 with the Help of Young Neighbors in Action. I am checking into sizes and prices.

2. Someone to build us some simple kitchen shelves. We have all of the wood and hardware.

3. Experienced Grant writer for us. Call Jerry for details .

4. Donation for Cost of Round Trip Airplane tickets to Las Vegas for 3 Catholic Workers. There is National CW gathering in October 6-7-8-9- 2011 (500 in attendance) we would like to attend. Housing/ is free at a Catholic School . I have been told to maybe ask for Frequent Flyer miles tickets on Southwest Airline may be available to transfer from your name to ours?

5. Experienced Volunteer Web Master and designer for updating our web site.

Pray for us that the AC get's fixed very soon. The maintenance man has been working on it for 5 days. We are a small house with 7 people in the heat.

We are always in need of more donors, especially those that are able to send us $10- $50 a month regularly.

Come by and visit, Cook a meal prepared ahead of time for 8 folks, and call and ask for a date open on our calendar to share a meal with us.
