Volunteers Needed: Summer Intern College Students, Live-In Community Members Dear Friends of the Omaha Catholic Worker, Greetings to you all. Jim Elliot and I have been working pretty hard to keep this small CW House afloat. Jim is in need of working a small part time job during the day from 6 am - 12noon Monday thru Friday. I am still working my part time job from 7am to 2 pm Monday thru Friday, in order to keep the expenses down. We are struggling along, at times feeling pretty tired, while doing a lot of work at the house with the needs of our guests. We do find time each day to pray and ask for God's help and guidance, and to enjoy some time together with our many guests and each other. We are in GREAT need of volunteers to be here at the house at the following times: 1. Monday thru Friday
7 am till 12:30 pm. This could be a volunteer position or a possible Live-In
Community-member position as well. 2. Evenings from 5- 9 pm Monday thru Sunday Each of these possibilities take on some different possibilities and commitments. Live-in Volunteers could live here rent free and be a particpating member of the community. Live-Outside volunteers could also have the luxury of a life outside of this community as well. Please consider these possibilities and if you have any questions, give us a call, come over for dinner (Monday thru Saturday at 6pm, Sunday at 5 pm) and we would be very glad to discuss them with you. We are in great need of your help to keep going and being faithful to the call of doing the works of mercy and resisting evil. Prayerfully consider these options for yourself, or share these opportunities with others. Above all pray for us that we receive the financial funds to keep going, and the community, and volunteers to make it all happen.
